They wrote that to cope. They know they are living in sin, and are afraid. They know they will punished for their transgressions for they are too cowardly to repent.
Yes He loves all of humanity, as it was created in His image, however it does not excuse the sin of sexual immorality. Jesus advises going as far as self harm if it stops oneself from commiting these sins, to emphasize the severity.
Matthew 5:27-30
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Caring out such an impulse will damn them. Jesus advocates death for molestation, or any other cause for them to stumble or be corrupted:
Matthew 18:4-8
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come! If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.
