Don't buy ethanol gas. That shit doesn't store at all. It turns into gum and water in 3 months.

I've started cars and boats with old gas like this too. It doesn't run great but it will run well enough.
I've used lead additives w/ ethanol gas and run 60s v8s nicely that have been sitting for years. w/o the lead additives the motor would take like 20 minutes to warm up before you could tap the gas w/o stalling it... that's completely unrelated to what yall are talking bout but kinda the same thing... govt scams an industry w/ regulations for profits. Lead cooled valves nigga.
I hope you enjoy replacing carburetors. It will stop starting as easily and run rough, and the shit ruins your engine because water gets in it.
