If the drone is registered I'm pretty sure you could catch a federal charge from shooting it down.

I'm all in favor of terminating it's surveillance but not at the expense of incarceration.

If you're on property and this thing is in range of a shotgun I'd say you're in the right to shoot it down. Not so much if you're in a neighborhood.

You don’t own the airspace over your property. Up to 400 feet is unrestricted airspace and anyone can use it without FAA clearances.

Fun fact: even if places have a sign prohibiting drones, that only restricts take offs and landings. You can take off at an adjacent property and legally fly over the “restricted” property.

Id shoot it down anyway. It's trespassing and spying. Nobody has any legitimate reason to be flying cameras over my property.
