That all depends.
You're best off installing a separate low voltage system and a battery bank. If there is running water on your property, you can use an old washing machine to spin up a current. Windy? Car alternator on a windmill. Solar. Hooked to an exercise bike. Etc.
Other than 5 or 6 things, you really only need low voltage. Tablets and laptops can charge off a battery bank.
If you want one in case of emergency, a little Honda is easy to manage.
If you are serious and can handle engine maintenance, an MQ Whisperwatt 25k is the way to go. They are worth their weight in gold during an emergency.
A tow behind MQ Whisperwatt also is easy to rent out as a side business.
Thank you
A small Honda will run a couple of appliances, with measured usage.
A MQ25k will run a few houses at once, no problem.
A 75k can run a command operations center full bore.
A 125k will run a skyscraper.
