I'd like to add, somewhat adjacently to the current discussion about my specificities, that if you're expecting a total collapse, you're better off saving the world we know than planning for the one where practically all humans that don't know how to farm die off within five years.
No one seems to genuinely know what they're speaking about when it comes to the Fallout fantasy.
I think this is where we find most of our differences. I think only those who produce should eat. We are living in an overindulgent society with a dwindling number of producers.
I think some people need a reality check in the form of starvation and unrest
E: Thats not to say we shant preserve the world we live in to some degree, but any transition of power will cause deaths no matter which way you slice it.
