I actually found that after and messaged /u/BuddhasTorch.

Crazy story actually, I was going to create /s/Firearms to be more niche than /s/guns and to compliment it as a sister sub so I went to message /u/BuddhasTorch about it and working the two in a complimentary way. I did this right after creating /s/Prepping and posting this thread you're on now. I then saw that /u/BuddhasTorch owns two subs, /s/guns and /s/preppers! I tried to see if there was a prepping sub by checking /s/prepper, /s/preparedness and a couple others. Somehow I missed /s/preppers and missed it on my scan on current subs. So /s/Prepping was born! Then I noticed /s/Firearms was a closed sub, I had it reopened by AOU and am currently requesting it, the story behind the creator of it is pretty funny.

I forgot to update this thread, thanks for catching that! (upvoted you)
