I'm back to buying DVD, Blu-ray, and cds for the stuff I really want. I get everything else from a boat. I'm supposed to have free basic Netflix with my cell phone plan. Not interested.

I have been doing this for years. Anything I actually want, I buy a hard copy. I rip and convert it. I put it on my home-server then the CD/DVD/BlueRay/HD/Etc all go into a cd binder for safe keeping.

I don't worry about them getting scratched because they are on the network share. I almost NEVER have to pull out an actual disk to watch it (unless my convert is messed up, then I make a new convert after we watch it).

This works for me. Maybe not everyone since I am a techie and do this stuff but if anyone want's to learn how they can just DM me.

Once cable is finally "dead". All streaming services will suddenly cost $250/mo for no reason at all.

I think it's more nuanced: people will shift their entertainment preferences. They won't watch as much streaming. But who knows.

The prices go up because people are canceling. They are trying to show profits at all cost no matter what while dumping money into race swapping garbage.

They can all burn for all I care. I buy media I like and rip it to my server. I don't want to pay for trash I have no interest in watching anyway. It's why I have not had cable since the early 2000's.

I am not going to pay them for the maybe one show I would want to watch so they can produce 20 shows of degen or tranny bullshit.

They'll double the price, not all at once, and those suckers will still keep jewflix
