VIDEO GAME INTERESTING STUFF, feb 2019
P: i had the N64, which has been described as being an anomaly of a console from an alien dimension, but idk a thing about this stuff and even to this day, 20 years later, NO ONE can emulate it, not even nintendo themselves. famiclones and nes demakes and homebrews are still going strong, there's still a market for famiclones. but NO ONE, even 20y later, can attempt to make an n64 clone. weird huh?
P: SUPER MARIO 64 (1996)
P: - peach's castle is a masonic temple with a really weird sun floor tile that likes to overlap foreground objects. the n64 was just WEIRD, man.
P: - had a lot of 'castles in the sky' levels. floating sky castles in the clouds is very much a media meme. could refer to the Kingdom of Heaven.
P: - Lethal Lava Land was the 'hell' level. had a volcano sublevel.
P: - ancient egypt level, that place probably never existed and has nothing to do with Masr. 'ancient egypt' probably has as much to do with memphis tennessee as it does with modern egypt. has a pyramid sublevel where you fight a hamsa hand golem thing.
P: - Rainbow sky level with a FLYING AIRSHIP, interesting...
P: - haunted house level that has... an elevator in what appears to be an outhouse? that has a wet basement and a weird merry go round that's brightly colored, plays weird silly clown music, has a bunch of ghosts, and spits fire. pizzagate level???
P: - Wet Dry World is a flooded barren city level that looks like people could still live there, but the enemies are only a few bugs and electric and fire orbs, and robots. no people/organic enemies. you have to completely flood the level to access the area called "downtown".
P: - Hazy Maze Cave is a long winding level with toxic gas, maybe a 'hollow earth' theme (idk about that but it's a meme...) and a plesiosaur is in a hidden underground lake. you can see stars in the ceiling/sky.
P: - megatree grandfather clock level with time manipulation gimmick. P: - two christmas levels with penguins and talking snowmen. and weird moneybag frogs.
P: LEGEND OF ZELDA OCARINA OF TIME (1998)
P: - many many zelda games have a 'time travel' theme. loads of them do. but i only ever played some zelda games. but time travel/time loops are crucial to the series.
P: - has a 'shark/whale belly' level. loads of zelda games have "Jonah" themed levels.
P: - temple of Time is a masonic temple.
P: - first dungeon is a mega tree, like the ones in the ancient pre-Flood world.
P: - second dungeon is lava/volcano/dinosaur themed
P: - third dungeon is that whale belly level.
P: - the great fairies are hideously terrifying MTF, but then again all characters are trans here.
P: - first temple dungeon is an ancient abandoned mansion, reclaimed by nature.
P: - fire temple has a zombie dragon snake that flies around without wings. sound familiar?
P: - there are fish people. i doubt a flood would kill them, but they get frosted to death.
P: - spooky dungeon has a vertical descent layout, lots of underground scary ghost horror stuff in the charming little old village.
P: - zelda series has important people trapped in crystals. there's something to that.
P: - -- also elder scrolls soul gems.
P: - has castrati muslims lmao
P: LEGEND OF ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK (2000)
P: made out of cut sidequests from Ocarina, with a time loop story slapped on it.
P: - huge mask theme. that's definitely symbolic.
P: - water dungeon is apparently a sunken ancient factory.
P: - big transformation theme here
P: - huge ancient dead city with a brightly colored underground section, and a dead sand-worn surface. and zombies. and ghosts.
P: BANJO KAZOOIE (1998)
P: mario 64 but even furrier.
P: - kazooie IS a boy, it's just they didn't read all the 'she her' pronouns kaz uses throughout the game.
P: - the witch probably wants to get a blood transfusion from the little strat bear.
P: - what's that neckbeard mole doing tunneling throughout the witch's lair, getting away with it, and apparently banjo didn't know his little stratsis was friends with the creep.
P: - has a 'belly of a robot whale shark' level.
P: - ancient egypt level, natch. lotsa pyramids and mummies. and a dick joke tree.
P: - features a gorilla and tailchimp in first level.
P: - the shaman turns the furry into washing machines and stuff.
P: - lots of dick jokes and cutesy squeaky talking objects with googly eyes. it's british for sure.
P: - you win the game by learning the witch's filthy disgusting secrets that her 'nice' gossipy sister tells you. interesting...
P: - megatree level with a time loop theme.
P: - haunted house level. but idk about pizzagate stuff. oh you get turned into a tiny pumpkin and get flushed down a talking toilet.
P: - -- has a haunted church where floating ghost hands teach you piano.
P: - -- ouija board minigame
P: - classic pirate level. arr ahoy ye matey, shiver me timbers, muh booty (rubs hands together)
P: - swamp level with alligators and tortoises. there's a giant live tortoise that has... tiny turtles practicing music inside. okay.
P: - christmas level. that's definitely a meme. has walruses but no penguins.
P: - two pollution levels.
P: BANJO TOOIE (2001)
P: all the good stuff was carried over from BK, and the rest was better programmed crap.
P: - aztec/mayan tiger level. fake history.
P: - zombie/ghost theme but everyone's okay with it.
P: - more dick jokes.
P: - dinosaur level with cavemen. amazingly, the t rex transformations suck.
P: - -- has a dino vore minigame. rareware promotes furry degeneracy.
P: - -- seriously i had to stop playing donkey kong 64 because the furry fetish shit got to be TOO MUCH
P: - giant theme park level. features the gorilla, outer space section, wild west section, and hell section. and more dick jokes.
P: - wild west prospecter level. i liked that one.
P: - atlantis level. top had a harbor town with a pollution problem, underneath it is a sunken city. no merfolk. everyone's dead.
P: - hailfire peaks, a glacier/volcano level with weird dragons. fire side was carried over from BK. seems to have an ancient greece theme??
P: - grunty industries, a massive industrial/pollution level.
P: - features a 'native american' strat. fake culture.
P: - features aliens that travel from level to level.
P: - had a horrid 'heaven' level. featured weird made up critters and bizarre food buildings.
that's all i can think of for now. discuss. add. talk about whatever.
H: The most played game from my childhood was zelda link to the past.
H: - dark world / lightworld with overlapping maps and a MagicMirror that allows link to travel between the two.
H: - at first in the darkworld you turn into a weird bunny creature that cant attack. Gotta get a magic pearl to stay as link in the dark world.
H: - game starts with heavy atmospheric rain, and link finds his uncle (who he lives with because no parents) dying in the castle sewers... totally child appropriate, right? Gives you your sword.
H: - you save zelda right away and then drop her off in a cathedral. Shes then kidnapped and has a satanic ritual done on her.
H: - gotta get 3 pendants before you get to darkworld, and you need the "master" sword.
H: - strange side chatacters include a witch you gotta bring a magic mushroom, twin loggers who live together and take forever to cut down a single tree, scary water creature that sells you flippers, the fearies are actually pretty in this game besides one super fat ugly fairy that gives you the best item upgrades, some weird midget blacksmith family, weird hobos that live under a bridge and give you a bottle (pwn item of course), fueding brothers that plastered up a door in their house that you gotta blow up, probably lots more strange meme worthy side characters. Fortune tellers... sick child who gives you their bug net cuz theyre too ill to use it. Normie npcs who are afraid of link and send the palace guards after you. Strange chicken lady.
H: - portals linking the two worlds hidden under rocks.
H: - whirlpools that teleport you
H: - a magic flute that calls a bird that can fly you places
H: - special gloves that make you super stronk
H: - cape that makes you invisible
H: - the OG hookshot
H: Theres probably a lot more i could think of from this game. It really has it all.
P: oh man that's awesome. snes wasn't in my childhood but i played this one on an emulator. and same with mother series. but i could never get past miracle fassad on mother 3. don't think there's much time left to revisit these classics. but yeah lttp was hella tits. but i only remember a few things. one thing that baffles me, 'technical limitations' made link's hair pink REALLY????? REALLY? uh whatever
P: also vg push furryism a lot. star fox, mario and his bazillion yiff suits, link turning into animals, etc
P: also the characters get remade a lot from installment to installment. not to save time on meshes cuz they dress them up and texture them differently in various games. they just like to keep the faces and personalities constant but change the names a lot.
P: oh yeah BK has a great white shark. those aren't real. and hippos are fishy af.
P: and LOZOOT's water temple is apparently a flooded sunken skyscraper or something. its boss is an amoeba. those are a joke.
P: also banjotooie's mayan level features talking stone bird creatures that play soccer.
H: Haha. Yeah i could do a list on the bosses. Wormguy with fat head you gotta hit on its sensitive tail (3rd boss). More wormguys in the desert that burrow (2nd boss). First boss is the chess knight things that dance around. Theres the boss with all the eyes you gotta hookshot to you and kill one by one. Theres a big moth boss. One of the coolest zelda temples of all time is in LTTP the one where you need to "save' the noname girl but actually turns out shes the scary demonhead white t shirt boss in disguise, you gotta expose her to the light in the boss room to start the fight.
H: Those are the bosses coming to menory off the top of my head. Theres a few throwaway bosses like giant eyeball that bounces off the walls, and im blanking on the others. Oooh the crab boss you gotta break their mask off first. Thats a good one. And the double headed fire and ice boss.
P: just realized... the japanese OBSESSION with gratuitous english is a clue... hmmm. HMMM
H: Yeah! Always inserting english. Also i always seem to forget about the fake japanese camps in america during muh ww2
P: so i understand some memory holed movies were real!
H: Shizaam was 100% a real movie
P: how it went
H: I dont know that I ever saw it. But i know it existed and theres plenty of people who have given synopses of the movie online and they remember the same details.
H: What i remember was the fact that it was heavily advertised but flopped big time and ruined sinbads career. I also remember the fact that there was an indentical movie staring shaq and it was even titled very very similarly. That movie still exists kazaam or whatever. I remember thinking how dumb it was they would do such similar movies at the same time. It was a planned psyop all along i imagine.
H: Anyways, people remember very specific scenes that match up including wishing for a huge thing of gumballs and they got a gumball mountain. Some other things were also remembered by many people.
H: I didnt see the movie but i remember specifically the shaq movie and the sinbad movie being out at basically the same time and how stupid that seemed.
H: I wouldn't have that memory if shizaam never existed.
P: i used to always shrug off mandela effect stuff, even though the concept been around forever before it had a name. now i find this stuff interesting. memory holeing. people that remember. interesting.
P: how bout them shekelstein or shekelstain bears, changing logos, etc.
H: I think maybe that was a planned psyop from the begining. Similar to sex and the city vs sex in the city, interview with a/the vampire. They could have the title one way but always say it another way. Berenstain bear books often had a cursive looking font where e and a would look similar. And if its always read to you as stein you wouldnt notice its spelled stain. In and and sound the same. A and the can sound the same.
P: well that's a simple easy explanation for such a big mystery haha.
P: just ping me whenever you get an interesting thing to talk about. i'm surprised though that no one compared copies of books or dvds with different titles printed on.
H: Koko died twice too...
P: died the first time they threw out the bad old fursuit, died again when the second fursuit had a problem
H: Yeah people give way to much mysticism to mandella. I think its simple.
/end. trimmed tons of junk
also of course, video games are FULL of outer space, fake egypt, dinosaurs, space aliens, transformation, powerups... standard things we'd be surprised to not have.
