FAKE ADVERTISING, feb 2019 (?)

H: Remember that north korea comedy that nobody would have heard of except there was some strange "totally real news" story about it and thats how everyone heard of it?

H: All those "totally real people telling a totally real life story" reddit posts that after you read it leave you thinking... was that just an add for this product?

H: Was the unibomber used to sell aviators?

P: can you give specific examples of fake ads on reddit stories?

H: Check this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/amqm4b/what_is_considered_lazy_but_is_really/

H: Second comment chain down is a zillion people praising grocery delivery services (weird thing trannies love). Even a totally real blind person chimes in. That entire thread could have been made just to plug those services.

P: uugghhh those reddit bot commenters. do they even physically exist. it's a whole website of white he/him [indian chatbots].

P: even the logo has downs http://magaimg.net/img/7735.jpg

P: ... the only blind person on the internet i know of deleted his creepy ass youtube account years and years ago. his eyes never opened, his house was PITCH DARK because why would he need lights, but he used voice stuff on his computer and apparently videod himself with his creepy blind face lit up by the screen. he would constantly ask and basically demand that people send him audios of themselves pooping and talking about their poop, and he kept saying 'it's just a fun thing" over and over.

P: yeeaaahhhh....

P: i just remembered slothfactsbot. gotta push that fake animal. what about spacefactsbot or dinofactsbot or pandafactsbot or gorillafacts or

H: I might be able to go find one if i just go through the top posts. Nothing comes to mind right away.

P: im super tired rn and this doesn't ring a bell and i don't see the connect to reddit. but i know about long long thathappened stories. but i dont see what they have to do with vanished films.

P: but what i have heard of many many times, are loads of creepypasta spooky weird viral marketing campaigns for movies, args, and vidya that never got halfway through beta development.

P: also i could never quite grasp the concept of ARG. i feel it should be something simple and basic but it just does not compute. 'alternate reality game". what, play pretend for teens on the internet?

P: and whenever i see a good eerie spooky thing and learn it was an attempt to sell a product, i feel let down. more so when the product never got finished.
