@zacchaeus yo I just had a craaaaazy what if. what if... what if... there were actually super ancient dead people from hundreds of years ago buried in my yard or nearby, woooah it could just be possible!! but i'm not gonna go digging or anything. good thing i ain't fraid of no ghost.
who started the meme of "ghosts are inherently scary" anyhow. maybe it's some misdirection thing. the meme imagery of a person seeing a spooky ghost and freaking out, what if they weren't afraid of the ghost, but rather freaking out over having their idea of reality smashed.
Ghosts and the Holy Ghost. Holy Ghost vs Holy Spirit is still something I'm unsure about. Did they make us afraid of ghosts so we wouldnt want to use the word Holy Ghost?
that's a good catch, I didn't think of that.
Bible mentions "gave up the ghost" a few times, in serious contexts. i thought usually that was said as a lighthearted dark humor sort of thing.
