dang. i've heard stories about that. and was told that if i were walking along, 'men' could just come along, grab me, and drive off with me. that's never happened. i used to be sooo scared, paranoid, jumping at shadows, terrified out of my mind that i could be raped, abducted, acid-attacked...
what that did to my mind and how it ruined my life and made me unable to not-hate life to such an extent, i have a burning hatred for baffos and their lies and fear fuel.

common media from the 80s and 90s talks a lot about acid rain, had comic strips of characters walking outside and having their skin dissolved off until they're walking skeletons, stuff like that. i was astounded to read those, as a child.
never, EVER saw acid rain irl.
