Bear with me, for some quickly-concocted words on an internet forum don't hold a candle to thriller writing, so it'll seem lame, but here goes...

Somewhere between 4 and 6 of us - something relates us to one another but it wasn't clear - have nightly missions in these buildings or houses. We have to do something overnight but not trigger this "event" in order to be successful.

The "event" keeps occurring; somehow we keep triggering it and "it" happens while we're asleep. The "event" would seem to have been, to a sleeping individual (as the rest of the group, besides me, sleeps through them), to be a temporal reset where our timeline was severed and we were returned to the last branching point we started from. The next night we'd start down a different timeline with different building but same mission, and so on.

... but I knew what actually happened during an "event", because I secretly was awake throughout them, but had to stay absolutely still to avoid a worse fate.

A figure in a huge white cloak, perhaps 7 ft tall, no face but black from neck up, with a triple-horned black "crown" would appear with an earsplitting metallic BANG about 200 ft from the building and begin moving slowly toward it. About 10 seconds later a smaller, about 5 ft high completely white cloaked minion would appear about 100 ft from the building and move more rapidly toward the building. I look out the window and see these things each night, hearing the movie-theater volume BANG BANG BANG get impossibly louder as the beings moved closer.

I recall this sequence happening perhaps 6 repetitions in different places before the temporal reset - I didn't see the beings enter the building or what they did to us.

Then, they noticed me awake upon entering. The smaller all-white creature swiftly crossed the room, circled the couch on which I was sleeping several times, then adrenaline woke me up.

I was burning hot, heart racing, adrenaline pumping. I was about to fall asleep again but forced myself awake to avoid re-entering that nightmare.

What. The. Fuck. you traitorous subconscious!

I remember dreams forever if they seem real enough. Some of the realistic ones will come to pass. Not exactly as was in the dream, but close enough to make the connection. Some extremely close.

What you are experiencing sounds like night terrors to me.

Have you tried smoking weed? If I am high when I go to sleep, the dreams leave me alone, for the most part

These don't happen frequently; dreams are typically the usual weird stuff
