I was at the bottom of a mountain. it looked like a long time ago miners dug out and abandoned a mine near the top. Dry mud made a wide, steep path to the entrance. There were large random rock structures sometimes on either side. The mountain was covered in trees on both sides. I climbed a long time and got tired and rested near a rock structure. I looked up at the sky to see the moon and stars. They looked fantastic. But things got weird, the sun came out and started fighting with the moon and there was a whole battle up in the stars. I can't remember who won but the sky settled down. While i lay there in bewilderment a horse comes out and licks my forehead, then goes off and disappears behind something.

I stand up and continue up the mountain till i come to the mine entrance. There I meet a dwarf who says, "I've been expecting you." and i follow him into the darkness. My vision doesn't follow me, but instead, while I'm in the cave, my mind enters my friends mind, so that we are sharing one mind.

"Hey what's up bud, did you call me?" I ask.

"Oh shit, is that you -my name-?"

"Yeah! Just wanted to see what you were up to."

"Here, look at this and tell me what you think of it" He gave me access to his vision and i could see what he held in front of him. It was lined paper with his handwriting on it. It was a plea to the prison to let him out and say he didn't want to be a cat anymore, and also it was overcrowded. He could sense my confusion and looked around the room to show me where he was. He was a man-cat-thing and the room was made of stone with stone bunkbeds carved simply out of the wall. there were a couple more man-cat-things in the room than there were bunks, and there was one chair, and one wooden table in the middle of the room he sat at writing. There was one small barred window in the top of the only available walls.

Shocked and unable to help, while also wanting to be supportive i tell him "Your letter is looking good! Bummer youre stuck in here, hope everything works out! Here are some grammar and spelling errors i noticed." "Thanks! It was good to hear from you but i sense you have to go." "Yeah, the dwarf and I are almost back at the cave entrance. Bye!"

So as I emerge from the cave with the dwarf the dwarf says "Hah! Here you go, the glider i was talking about. Ready to get strapped in?"

"ready as i'll ever be!"

I mounted the hang glider, something i've always wanted to do IRL, and glid down the mountain, high over the trees, in a big spiral so i could see as much as i could. Eventually I was over a house, it was a two story building nestled in the woods with a spacious backyard, painted white. By now it was daytime and you could see a large, white family with a bunch of little boys and girls running around the yard. The scene was so pure and beautiful I didnt want to leave. The mother was in a cute sundress and sandals and brought iced lemonade out to the family, with a tray of snacks. the father pushed his son on the tire swing hanging from a tree. Everyone gathered when the mom showed up.

I wanted to land but i didnt know how, there was no place to land and I didnt want to lose track of the family. I flew around until i got stuck in a tree. The commotion got the fathers attention. The mother was inside now, to get more food for the picnic table. The father hollered up at me to ask if i need help as i untied myself from the glider and climbed down the tree.

He was fascinated and very happy i was ok. He invited me to dinner just as his wife came out with treys full of home cooked meals. We sat down at the picnic table and ate.

THE END

(PS: this is the second time i walked through something that could be considered a portal and my consciousness didnt follow. Why the hell would my consciousness not follow my character like normal when I go through a portal??)

A "light-switch phenomenon" in lucid dreams. (psycnet.apa.org)

Findings indicate that any attempt to violate the current "brightness" level of imagery in dreams results in rationalized avoidance of the planned situation. This suggests an autonomous dream-producing process that maneuvers the dream as best as possible within imagery limitations.
