His presentation is too practiced to be believable. Looks like con man preying on gullible Christians. Believable near-death experiences aren't that clear and linked to Bible verses. is more believable.
Surely he isn't a charlatan who is hawking a book with a story meant to appeal to trusting and gullible people only to personally enrich himself.
If heaven and hell are real, I think it's possible that those are one and the same place, and what makes it unbearable or awesome, depends on who are, what you are
Example: a land turtle put on a patch of grass for a prolonged period of time will feel just fine, but for a sea turtle it's an horrible experience, and vice versa; the sea for a land turtle is just horrible while for the sea turtle it just feels like home
Whether hell and/or heaven are a real place or a chemically induced one if you will, an illusion, is irrelevant in the end. Because if you take nightmares or dreams for instance, special case psychic stuffs aside, while they are an illusion, it feels pretty real sometimes when you experience them, not always but sometimes yeah, it can even be traumatic; when you wake up it can take several minutes to "calm down" in the case of intense nightmares, and in the case of dreams you can even be sad after waking up and realizing it was just a dream, but I digress
Yeah, it’s coming essence to essence with God.
Imagine the feeling of being in the presence of your merciful and all powerful creator whom you have denied with every fiber of your being and spat on his solitary olive branch.
Hell is what most people deserve.
Imagine you die... And poof the illusion of reality disappears, and you realize you are surrounded by all your ancestors, relatives, who basically watched you the entire time, they know everything lol, EVERYTHING, they've seen it all...
