I have to admit, the elongated skulls are interesting. Some are obviously deformations induced during infancy by pressure, in the same way the feet of Chinese women were once bound in childhood to deform them, but other examples of elongated skulls look natural. It's hard to know what to make of them. Probably they are a genetic defect, but it doesn't seem to have been a crippling defect. And if it once existed, where is it today? What happened to it?
