I've seen these cases before.
These are of the more credible cases.
One of them the Russians sent drivers to engage, not all of them came back.
‘Mysterious Universe’ just did a podcast episode about the 9 meter long silvery aquatic beings that have been reported to inhabit this 5000 foot deep Russian lake. But they spent weeks trying to verify the stories and couldn’t find anything more than internet rumors.
They would leak bogus stories on both sides to find out whos leaking and where the stories wound up during the cold war. Ive heard Byrds antartic battle was a leak used along these lines.
