My older cousin introduced me to an episode of Gantz and Berserk to me when I was a teenager. I never looked back into Gantz, although I've heard a lot of great things about it.

Is Inuyashiki related to Inuyasha? That's the depth of my anime knowledge- the shit that was on oldschool Toonami Cartoon Network and adult swim.

What's adult swim up to nowadays? Last I saw, maybe 2 years ago, they had hardly any cartoons anymore, all of it just bizarre random-lol humor and 15 minute long shows. It seemed so low effort, so bereft of passion compared to the adult swim I remember when it originally started airing, and I would tape it on VHS so I could watch it after school every day. Space Ghost, the Brak Show, early Aqua Teen, Sea Lab 2021, and there's a few more I'm missing from that original lineup. Am I just nostalgia drunk, or was all of that stuff gold?

Lol, Adult Swim. Last time I saw something on there was a few years back. There was something called Harg Nallin' Sclopio Peepio. It was the most brain dead, lowest common denominator, most degenerate show I've ever seen- bar none. It was so bad that it put me into a depressed, misanthropic funk for the entire following week.

Adult swim has gone to shit, I’d avoid it as it currently is - the golden age has long passed.

Inuyashiki is not at all related to Inuyashiki, lol - they’re two different names. The premise is this, and I know this is gonna sound fucked, but stay with me: an old man is walking in the park when he suddenly fucking explodes and dies. Some aliens accidentally killed him, and they’re like “oh shit, we gotta fix this... let’s rebuid him?” Next thing you know, you’ve got a motherfucking super grandpa that goes out and starts saving people’s lives. The cool part is that he’s not the only person this miracle has happened too, and the other person is actually a psychopath that starts mysteriously murdering people, which the old man vows to discover and bring to justice.

It’s a blast and it’s all free to watch on Youtube. Oh, and it’s made by the same guy that made Gantz.
