On Monday, March 8th, a roadside zoo in Fairfax, VA, had a barn catch fire that housed two giraffes and both died in the blaze.

One of the beautiful animals was a long time resident at the zoo. He was well loved by everyone who visited the zoo, especially children. His name was Waffles, but his new companion had not yet been named. The cause of the blaze is under investigation, and I'm wondering why the barn didn't have any fire sprinklers, but maybe it did and this detail just hasn't been mentioned in any reports. Sure, it doesn't help with anything yet, but I'd say one more fire incident with Big Mike on the sidelines and we have a definitive pattern that cannot be ignored.
