My man! Now you're asking the real questions. Some think we're on an infinite plane like a video game. Some think there are concentric ice circles with totally new continents in between! It's possible, there's literally an infinite amount of land out there. Really, the sky's the limit. I'm an actual farmer, and there's no way my chickens could possibly conceive the places that we human visit off the farm.

There's a story called the Iron Republic of settlers that got lost on their way to America, and ended up outside the ice wall. Without bankers to leech on them, their technology was centuries ahead of the rest of the world. They had internet and video calls back in the 1800s. Here's an audiobook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXNHTtwHnTI

Also, here's an inspiring music video. Very much like Truman Show. https://youtu.be/MaeRXppkzdA

Lastly, here's an intro to flat earth, and the assholes that think they own us. https://youtu.be/k0xClWgidZU

I keep an open mind about everything but not so open my brains fall out. We have seasons and that is nicely explained by the tilt of the earth on it's axis to move us closer and further away from the sun. That said there are other models that could explain that phenomena too.

The amazing thing to me about life is the very small tolerances that make it possible. If things were even slightly different in the Universe, life would be impossible.

If Antarctica surrounded our known Earth, the distance to circumnavigate Antarctica should be longer than circumnavigating the Equator. Right?

Also why are the poles very cold, but the equator is warm?

Yes. Circumnavigating Antarctica would take waaaay longer. I can't recall the guy's name offhand, but one explorer literally just gave the fuck up when he attempted it. The sun isn't a massive far away fire ball. It's actually a small and close. Here's a model to explain the seasons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbec8CyHf30

I don't understand the first question. As for the second, imagine a basketball whose top tilts ever so slightly towards a fire and then away from it. The equatorial parts of the ball will be closer to the fire than the bottom or top. Ergo seasons and cold poles. Don't forget, the poles also warm up during "summer". Just not so much as to melt the ice.

That's the story anyway... They want you to think you're just an accident. Just an inconsequential grain of sand floating in space.

I wanna get that Iron Republic book on paper, even if its pure fiction(judgement reserved), sounds great.

Is there a claim made by the author about the origin? ie: "found these, heard this"...etc?

It's told in the first person as a true account. It was originally published in Florida Magazine in 1902. Here's the link to about the authenticity.
