He could be looking at a seashell he just picked up. This one is a stretch but Ive seen footage of people using cellphones a long time ago

Cell service might have been pretty bad without cell towers. I think there might be better explanation than time travel. And that picture is totally not someone I know that just built a time machine.

There's a bunch of these things and it's lame. How exactly would a cell phone without the infrastructure to support it work anyway - LOL. But folks who believe such things do make it entertaining.
