There are no male‐only chess tournaments. The tournaments men compete in are open tournaments. Women can compete in them too and many do, but the larger the open tournament the less likely it is for a woman to win.

That's Checkers. In Chess when you move a pawn to the other side, you get your queen back if you lost it, if not then that pawn can now move like a queen.

A hyphenated achievement is no achievement at all. "Women's-chess champion" for example.
