I work as a systems engineer specializing in automation, but it isn't that AI shit. We aren't going anywhere though lol. AI runs on computers that are not even as smart as my toddlers. My code makes computers like that actually, you know, do what it needs to do. The computer doesn't need to think past the very specific instructions I give it. Ask a four year old to manage their daily life. That's AI.

I now that it is possible, but its not happening yet. I know that in some industrial applications it is about 99% there.

Point being, for the small guy, its not painting a house for a while, running electrical, plumbing, HVAC. All professions that pay good coin.
