My initial take on this ...

I think he stumbled upon the Proud Boys stuff, of which over 300 members were current or retired DHS and writing the crap.

21 Year old Analyst ... I guess you put the dumbest member in charge when you don't want your operation exposed? 21 seems extremely young in my mind. He wasn't dumb enough, tried multiple times to escalate but was ignored because it was a DHS OP.

Could be, it originated in Yahoo. OTOH, the DHS just might be so inept that their 21 year old rookie analyst discovered their 300 Man DHS Proud Boys operation and tried to escalate up the ladder but failed ... DHS had to ignore him to allow the operation to complete.
