They did indeed miss the dog / human relationship when given the ideal presentation. Confined space, everyone welcoming of the pet. I know i cant go 10 feet without my dogs needing to follow me. Dog personalities differ widely as do humans. Still consider it. Reasonable size humans simply dismiss a beagle as a combatant because we can get rid of it so easily. I would have probably show it doing some scared barking and aggressiveness as a result but thats about it for dog attack type stuff i'd have allowed. We dont want them to come off as an aggressive thing that gets treated like the pit bull. On the nigger - One of the best characters, because they made him a character with emotions and an actual backstory they could display. The trip he took to their freighter was a pretty good episode. Not believable that a black family achieved it. but replace the race and its easily one of the best in the show. Better actor because so many of them were bottom rung actors who they got for cheap, so he didnt have a lot of competition.
