I put it together, painted it, you could clearly see brush strokes on all the surfaces, I loved it. My very own USS Enterprise bridge, captains chair and everything, good times!

Same. Had that one, the shuttle, the big kits for both the Enterprise and the Klingon battlecruiser (which, when they were not in my hands, locked in epic combat for the fate of the universe, were both hanging on loops of fishing line from the ceiling in my room). Got the Romulan cruiser too, when that came out later. https://culttvman.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/mmottent07-600x600.jpg https://culttvman.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/sanderkling01.jpg https://culttvman.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/amtrombop1zzz.jpg

I was a "space kid" who also built the 3 foot tall Apollo rocket (with separate and removable command module AND lunar lander), and the big model of the lunar lander with the grey plastic moon display base.

Although I must admit, at 9 I didn't do nearly as good a job putting them together and painting them as these guys did. But I had fun and they were the stuff that dreams were made of.

Good times.
