I had low expectations and of course knew it was a money grab side show going in. Curiousity got the best of me though and I watched in spite of myself. It fell short of my low expectations.

Paul isn't a great fighter, but he isn't a totally incompotent either. And of course the old man would have nothing at that age. Ok get in good shape for your age and get paid like you said, but it's a joke anyone let this event happen.

I'm not a particular fan of him or anything but Paul had the right business sense to just keep distance, point up, "win" and then praise the former champ. No one wanted to see the old guy get beat up and he knew that.

Even people who know nothing about boxing and watch too many movies and thought "maybe he has one more" could see very quickly nope no one beats age.

Beating up an old man would just draw ire and not in heel heat way that could make money but in WTF way.

This Paul brothers aren’t stupidly wealthy because they’re idiots. This couldn’t have gone better. He sold it as best he could once he realized he very well could kill Tyson in the ring.

Well, look at the positive from it. If nothing else happened from this, Tyson gets a nice payday. We all have known about his financial issues, and I do give props to Jake for giving him a "fight" so he could get a comfy payday.

The entire fight gave me Ali vs Larry Holmes vibes. Good on Mike for getting in shape but he had no place in that ring

I feel like Ali Holmes was worse because Ali was “only” 38 and clearly had the onset of some cognitive issue happening.

I had to deal with my dad being all upset just now because he thought Tyson was somehow going to time travel to 1988. Probably something there where he saw someone 10 years younger, and in incredible shape aesthetically, look like a stumbling old man.

I really don’t agree with preventing people from doing what they want to do, but if you put someone like Tyson in the ring with someone who wouldn’t have mercy on him, viewers would have seen a 58-year-old man get destroyed in an unforgettable way.

In the coming days, rewatch the fight. Tyson's body wasn't under his control. He was having a very hard time firing off basic punches, much less power punches. He also has major balance issues and is slurring worse than ever. Might not have parkinsons, but he's starting to look Punchy

Yeah the balance was obvious but is that not normal for most people near 60 years old? Maybe it’s not and I’m just used to seeing abnormal decline of the elders in my family.

Weren’t many highlights. It was a young man landing easy blows in the beginning, then making sure he didn’t hurt his image and future earnings by burying a legend.

For me using a pirated stream, it’s another “am I being a jew or beating the jews” moment.

I’m not sure what there even is to watch on Netflix. And I’m guessing it costs like $20/month now which is fucking crazy because people talking about “cutting the cord” yet have $200/month in different subscriptions. I’m turning into an old fart who only watches shit from 20+ years ago. Nearly impossible to watch anything “new.” Even somewhat relatively newer stuff I enjoyed still had me tap out because of course race mixing, White man dumb, niggers are executives, etc etc. hell, the old stuff I enjoyed still is still jewed and woke. I am just somehow able to put my mind in a different place and enjoy it.

Genuine bombs were thrown early. But once Paul shook Tyson, which looked easy enough to do, he basically made sure he didn’t kill him and made sure Tyson didn’t get off a lucky one.

This was nothing like Tyson/Jones in 2020.
