Lived in LA when it happened. I remember talking to my friends about it, and we were spooked out. Theories ranged from aliens to government testing. The story disappeared for a long time though. Wasn't until YouTube for big that I remembered it again. For a long time I thought it was just a weird fever dream I had, like the news report out of LA that 2 barrels of a nerve agent went missing.
