If humans were landing on the moon since 1969 why has nothing been done in 55 years and now people are talking about a Mars base.
The moon is 3 days away with current rocket tech, Mars is 8 months.
At this pace there won't be a moon base for at least 100 years. If the world still exists, maybe a Mars base in 3000 years.
We're due for a micro-nova to send us back to the stone age anyway. A major solar flare could accomplish nearly that. Very precarious times.
