In this episode, we will explore the new report about the Vikram lander’s unplanned hop experiment on the Moon and how important are India’s Moon mission findings. We will see how Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar exploration mission, has made some amazing discoveries on the Moon, such as water molecules, temperature variations, and high-resolution images. We will also see how Chandrayaan-3 has enhanced India’s space program and its global standing, as well as the challenges and limitations it has faced and how it could overcome them in future missions. Chapters: 00:00 Introduction 00:54 The Vikram Lander’s Unplanned Hop Experiment 03:39 The Pragyan Rover’s Distance and the Orbiter’s Temperature and Water Measurements 06:18 The findings made by previous chandrayaan missions 09:48 Outro 10:10 Enjoy

but they also do have some (quite) talented engineers.

That's why they use Russian/U.S/French/Swiss/German and Chinese technology for their space program.

Fun fact: 95% of Indian "engineers" can't code nor successfully compile a basic app.

The "talented" ones you're talking about are working in other countries mostly where they graduated.

Yes they often use commercial off the shelf parts instead of creating new hardware from scratch like western countries do. When I use the term engineers, I'm not referring to Indian "tech support". I mainly mean electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and project engineers. And there are plenty of Indian software engineers who are very competent and of course know how to compile an app.

That's not what statistics/studies say/report.

Thanks to StackOverflow.

Hey, StackOverflow rules.

And also SourceForge. Don't be a hater :)

Back to the actual article, let's assume for a moment that it's actually true that India landed a moon probe. What about that unplanned hop maneuver?? Pretty cool!
