Are they going to hit each other?

At least the headline doesn't call this otherwise mildly interesting event a "Christmas star". I'm looking forward to it, through my binoculars simply to see how dim Saturn actually is when viewed from earth, since it will be really easy to spot.

On a very clear night I can see four or five of the moons of Jupiter, when it's close to earth.
