Interesting watch, but as the guy only has evidence of two nuclear detonations it suggests only one highly plausible cause and the other fantasy:

  • At some point in Mars past, two uranium rich meteors detonated high in Mars atmosphere above the receding ocean at some point a billion years ago. Very plausible as meteors regularly explode in Earths atmosphere even today, one of the most significant detonations being Tunguska.

  • At some point in Mars past, there were habitats at the two specified locations that a yet undiscovered nuclear weapons armed civilization targeted, engaged, and destroyed. Why a third party? Because a nuclear weapon would require massive infrastructure development and testing. There wouldn't be one or two detonations, but potentially dozens, if the nuclear weapons where Martian in origin.

first is more plausible, 2nd is more fun to speculate about.

The 2nd is definitely good inspiration for science fiction stories, but there would need to be hard speculation of another place in the solar system potentially hosting advanced life besides Earth and Mars.

and that is filled by the Sumerian nibiru claim, or for a fiction creation, pick a moon that is different from earth and say life exist at those conditions, and have explorers encounter ruins on said moon and emphasize how old they are. Pretty cookie cutter stuff in a sci-fi novel.
