You know how when they arrest someone who is clearly in the right but who the police/gov’t don’t like (take Kyle Rittenhouse for example), and they know that they will be let off so they make the process as hellish and drawn out and publicly embarrassing as possible? They do this to make the process the punishment. It’s all they can do. This is the same thing for these billionaires. The MOST that any politician can do to them is waste an afternoon of their time and hopefully hurt their public image and maybe make their stock price go down a smidge.
