Creating games is not easy. I know, I've tried. I mean, it's not too hard to make a derivative board game with the same basic structure as other board games. We see people marketing these all the time. That's like putting a new skin on an existing software program. But to create something wholly original, like chess, that plays well, with an equal chance of winning for both sides, a definite win conclusion (as opposed to a draw), and lasts under two hours or so per game, is a living bitch of a difficult task, especially if you are trying to do it on your own. I'm close with a certain board game, which I won't describe, but getting the rules just right is the challenge. Everything has to balance. It can't be too simplistic, but it can't be so complex than nobody wants to learn it, either.

My neighbors downstairs play magic. Always loved it. Gave away many cards some years ago. Always have to relearn when I play with friends, but I'm talking trad deck

I've played it before and it's fun, but never got into it just because I try to keep my nerd interests balanced with other parts of my life. Always filled my nerd quota with computer stuff.

You and I sir, though I'm not quite tech savvy

Hmmm new card game huh?

Np lemme make one up real quick...

We will call it blitzkrieg. 2 to 4 players. Each player starts with an ace, discard unused aces. This is your capital.

The goal is to capture the capitals of other players. You can play solo or teams whatever.

Each player draws 7 cards to start.

Players take turns playing a single card in front of their capital. Different cards do different things.

You play cards in a row in front of your capital until you hit closest to 21 without going over. If you hit 21 exactly you start a second row.

Kings are generals. They are worth 11, unless they match the suit of your ace, in which case they are worth 21.

If you play a queen you discard it and draw 2 cards. If it is your suit draw 3

If you play a jack you discard it to make target player discard 2 cards at random from their hand. If it is your suit draw 1 card.

If you play a 2, all other players discard a card unless they have a 2, which they play immediately.

If you play a 10, all players including you draw a card.

If you play a 3 you may discard it and up to 2 cards from your hand to draw that many cards.

If you have no plays, you must discard 2 cards to draw 1 card. If you have only one card left and no plays, the card in your hand is subtracted from your end total.

When all players have finished all available plays, the total of each army is calculated. The player with the highest army wins.

Thats off the top of my head if you got ny ideas for it or different or better rules feel free to add them.

Damn. No way you just made this up, unless you're a druid

Games are easy. Testing them a few times to find the flaws or improvements is important so idk if it's "good" or not but that's part of the fun. Try it and let me know if it's any good.

Lmao bravo. I want something, or to supercede something above Bridge. The 21st century bridge

Try playing partner Spades with three or more decks. It will become a whole new game.

Hm. Picked up spades in jail. Always wanted to learn bridge, so worked my way up. We need a new game for the 31st century
