I stole a calico kitten out of some scumbag's yard last year...said no way, aint keeping her but- a year later...she's such a smart, happy cat I couldn't give her away.
Anyway, if that cat is 15 then with lots of love and kindness she could and will live past 20. My last two lady cats both died (I "hospiced" them the last couple weeks of their life); one 20, the other 19 years of age.
Treat her gently, she is as after all, elderly and will bruise easily and probably has arthritis. Elder cats will often have kidney problems as well; just don't let so a*hole vet convince you to kill her for any reason- cuz they will.
My Gracie went deaf and then blind about a year before she died; aint nothing like finding your cat stuck in a corner because she can't find her bearings. I would steer her with my hands on her shoulders to help her find the litter boxes.
I love cats.
Kittens are cute, And felines are the best, But this Vile Old Crone Cat, Is more interesting than the rest,
She is old, And can't jump into the air, So when she wants onto the bed, She yowls in despair,
And I kneel down, To pick up this Queen, Stinky & Boney, Orange & Black, She deserves a Crown, As the Empress of All Halloween Cats.
On my bed, The Bitch sleeps tonight, And she reminds me, All of our mortality, Is directly in sight.
That's exceptional. Thank you.
Thanks bro, all cats deserve poems
