Not homegrown, but from a roadside farm stand, as was the sweet corn. They were both uncommonly delicious. The fig jam I had for breakfast though, that did come from my mother's garden. I honestly didn't think figs grew in this climate, but she has a small tree that provides more fruit than she can eat.
But yes, it was a good meal with a few people I love, and something about that makes you remember that life ain't always so bad.
