You can't rob a place. Robbery requires two or more people and typically is always face to face. Burglary seems more appropriate, but to burgle requires illegal entry. So unless the supposed crook was previously trespassed from the property, burglary wouldn't apply as the place is apparently open to the general public. The act of looting this type of store would get the theif a larceny charge. Some words have specific meanings.
