Appeasement, because they know they are so debt ridden that they can't meet any of the financial demands of the protestors. They'll do little things like this and give empty promises, stringing them along until November and then not another word will be said. They don't give a shit, they just want their votes. Remember all of the platitudes and promises given to the "dreamers" prior to the last election? When's the last time you heard anyone talk about DACA?
