running on lithium batteries? like the ones in those hot new e-bikes? nah I think I'll pass not gonna charge one of them in MY garage...

Pretty sure the golf carts are lead-acid.

And really, while the lithium batteries are dangerous, there sure are a lot of them out there which aren't exploding. I mean, fair is fair. I'm not a fan and wouldn't want one, but there are a ton of them.
