Salt and car rust stopped being a real concern around 2006 in Eu not sure why american cars are so shit.

Yeah. I drive a 15 year old Euro import and I have the stealership check the frame for rust every year, still no issues. And here in PA we're notorious for eating car and truck bodies due to all the salt we use.
