Not true.

Never say never.

Not ever say not ever.

not ever usually comes with 'do' on its own.

so technically 'do not ever say do not ever'

so ... both right?

come to think of it are 'ever' and 'never' even related. fucking english is a trip man... ima dig into this

EDIT - Yes they are - 'Naefre' - Middle English never, from Old English næfre "not ever, at no time," a compound of ne "not, no" (from PIE root *ne- "not") + æfre "ever" (see ever).

I know the definition of never.

You said never should be contracted as n'ever. THIS isn't true. No other contraction needs another word added to it in order to read correctly.

We are = We're

You are = You're

Can not = Can't

Is not = Isn't

Who are = Who're

It would appear that there are no contractions with a full word at the end but many if not most contractions (although not all) have a full word in the beginning. I don't believe that is a fixed rule of the english language however.
