Heh! When I realised that it would take 6 million bullets to kill 6 million jews, and that would have cost maybe 6 million dollars in their currency at the time, my mind was blown.
Why would ANYONE spend the kind of money the germans spent on concentration camps, feeding, housing and guarding them?
For the price of 12 tanks worth of metal and labour they could have completed the work in ... what? A couple of months? As you said, not even necessary to capture them, just show up at their homes and shoot. Hell, they could of gotten the jews neighbours to do it.
