It used to be common practice. If someone lets you cut in front of their vehicle you show a little appreciation and throw a friendly wave as a thank you. People virtually never do this anymore, everyone has an entitlement or fuck you mentality. Little gestures like this go a long way in a society.

I moved to a rural area and people wave just driving by on the back roads.

I was so confused at first thinking "do I know that person?". Very different environment, where I moved from people don't even look at each other.

That's just how we are. The city scum who flee'd to here won't share the road and not friendly at all. No offense to you. If I see them coming and think for a second they are a transplant I don't even bother getting off the road anymore and hold a middle finger up. These filthy pieces of trash are also on social media crying about our loud trucks and already wanting to pervert our town. I pray civil war erupts.

Well there's people who flee because they hated it and never fit in and there's people who flee because they're clueless and vote the same policies they escaped. It's pretty easy to tell who's who by their appearance.

Hahaha yep, we wave all the time. It's just a friendly acknowledgment that you're sharing the road, they see you, God bless, say hi to your mother for me, etc.

It's too bad I didn't grow up in a place like this. Whole personality would have been different.
