I recently shared one of my early Poal posts , and it reached a vote score of at least 34.
But it made me think: What if one would share a controversial post that could get alot of downvotes?
Thankfully, an archived post is immune against it.
Post archival (making read-only) is more disadvantageous than advantageous in total, but one has to acknowledge this advantage.
It's similar when one uploads a video to multiple platforms. One could share the link to thr video on Dailymotion (no dislike feature) or BitChute (audience probably has no account yet), which makes it immune against negative voting.
But on video platforms, downvotes at least don't lead to restricted account privileges, ****
