“That’s everybody’s worst nightmare, right? Being alive during surgery and knowing that someone is going to cut you open and take your body parts out?” Martin told NPR. “That’s horrifying.

Brain death means death of the entire brain and brain stem. The problem is where they believe the brain is irreparably damaged after four minutes of anoxia, they're equivocating on when death actually does occur.

TV and movies are not reliable sources of medical legal definitions.

Just so you are aware, many states have "preconsent" and "presumed" consent laws for organ donation. You must OPT OUT of your state's organ donor registry.

You want to donate? Just remember hospitals and other organizations are making millions of dollars on organs and tissues. And your family gets nothing but an atta boy. For sale at time of death or nothing.
