While I agree I must posit....power supply is only an issue unless there is actuation of "zero-point" or "aetheric energy" (tesla, orgone, insert your own).

Zero point energy is purely theoretical still. Even if it was possible to harness ZPE or other virtual particle energy, at the scale of nano- or micro-particles the whole thing goes sideways because of quantum effects. We already see such issues with semiconductors at the scale we can produce. Additionally, such small scale particles are too small to transmit or receive signals from 5G as the article mentions. The particles are miniscule compared to the signal wavelengths and therefore you could not have an antenna element that would handle such a large wavelength, not to mention the power for transmission would be extremely small so you could not reach a receiver without the noise drowning out the signal. This is why physics says none of this is possible with our current understandings and potentially not ever even with full understanding (which is not possible).
