NPR didn't identify the Blue Zones, other researchers did. All I did is link an NPR article (which is well written). Go to the actual Blue Zones site to get the detailed info. It's not owned by NPR or affiliated with NPR.
Zones do not count unless you eliminate DNA effects for each region and/or have very detailed telomere measurements across time.
Lifespan is based on telomere and longest lifespan is actually based on being obese if counting only all-cause mortality and AVERAGE lifespan. Tens of millions of dollars of science papers on this. Fat people who eat meat live the longest.
All your silly blue zones show is DNA genetics.
Worse, your silly blue zones use CORRELATION not CAUSATION studies.
It would make a scientist weep.
incorrect
You are obviously not a scientist. It most certainly is just a map of DNA genetics for lifespan.
Telomere length is only one factor in determining longevity. It's not the only one. And I sure you are aware that 2/3 of your health is due to lifestyle and not genetics.
