That's the real kicker in a scenario like this. Most nuke plants, while the reactor is contained, the spent fuel pools are not and require a constant feed of cool water. No power, no pumps. Those rods will catch fire and devastate large portions of the globe. Even if you live off grid and have adequate farmland you're fucked when the radioactive wind blows in.
