The role of mRNA is protein synthesis, viruses replicate using viral RNA and host cell machinery.
They could have injected people with a fragment of the virus or a dead and/or inert version of it to expose the immune system and prime them against the real thing. Instead they go the mRNA route for some nefarious purpose.

I could go on Sci-Hub and look up information on said spike-protein, what it does and where it's present, etc, etc. I think that it's literally just the kick-start to the elites' transhumanist agenda. They're doing simply that: experimenting. They want to see causes and effects, while believing that there's so many humans on this planet that it doesn't matter how many of us they kill in the process. But this is all speculation.
The spike protein binds to your cells, like the Dr. said. The specific receptor that the spike protein binds to is called ACE2, which stands for angiotensin converting enzyme 2. As the name implies it's an enzyme receptor which converts the hormonal protein angiotensin 2.
Angiotensin 2 is a hormone that regulates some body functions, which regulates other hormones, which regulates some other body functions.
When the spike protein binds to ACE2 receptors in order to infect you with the virus, it also has the effect of stopping the ACE2 receptors from breaking down angiotensin 2. Because of this, the serum level of angiotensin 2 increases in the blood, increasing vasopressin and aldosterone production. The more spike proteins are in your body, the higher the probability that the proteins are affecting ACE2 function, leading to a hormonal imbalance.
I'll let you figure out what happens when you have extreme hormonal imbalances, when you have angiotensin 2 poisoning or excess aldosterone or vasopressin.
A litmus test perhaps, but the thing is that we know TPTB don't want us to survive and be a menace to their existence unlike their good goys. Why would they keep us around just to topple their technocracy? It makes more sense to me that the willingly unvaccinated are the ones who will eventually catch a real manufactured disease released by TPTB that only affects them.
While that makes sense, as a starting point, I believe your expected outcome is inaccurate. There's "too many variables," in "natural life." They couldn't possible release something that kills a specific demographic, or they'd have done it already. Instead, they need to paint the target on their target's back themselves. In this case: a very specific spike-protein.
I hear what you're saying but it doesn't cross off from my list the idea that we aren't the group who they solely want around. We're the antagonists and the primary target. It's possible people are getting painted now with these vaccines to be passed over when the real bug comes.
I just can't see a scenario where they decide to kill off the sheep and keep us wolves, it would certainly spell their demise.
