This is legitimately valuable research because it provides a novel solution to multiple problems:

1) Ventilators are very damaging for patients with fluid in their lungs because fluid doesnt compress, damaging the lungs.

2) Enemas are less destructive than emergency tracheotomies for patients with airway obstructions.

3) If you can easily deliver oxygen via an enemy, why not other hard to administer treatments?

I don't know why this is a surprise. Politicians have been talking out of their arses since the dawn of man...

Now we can add "ass-breather" to "mouth-breather" as an insult!

This would also be good for snipers, reducing the motion of breathing.
