I think the gist here is that while vegetable oils are not healthy, humans have never really consumed oils in huge amounts to begin with.
It's probably not good to eat vast amounts of any kind of food including the good fats. Instead I think there is probably a low optimum intake rather than a volume for volume replacement at current western intake levels that we might want to aim for.
